Connectors
Choose the connector type in the left column. Measurements in the connector name tell the inner diameter of the connector. For example "F connector, 7mm" is a connector that can be installed to a 6.8mm-6.9mm cable. In case your cable would be a bit too small for the connector, you could put some tape layers on the cable outer plastic sheath to make the connection tighter.
F connectors are used in satellite reception and other TV antenna installations. IEC connectors are used for terrestrial and cable devices (TV, PVR) signal indoors. Most better 4G modems have SMA connectors for antennas. Some WLAN devices have RP-SMA connectors for antennas. N connectors are used in some 4G and WLAN outdoor antennas. RJ-45 is used for ethernet (network) cables.
Male connectors have center pin. Only exception is RP-SMA male which has a hole in the center.
