CAM (Card Reader)
You can connect a pay-TV card reader (CAM) to a television or DVB receiver (set-top-box or PVR) Common Interface (CI) slot to be able to see your pay-TV channels. Your viewing card is inserted into the card reader with the chip side in front and chip side facing to the same direction as the card reader image side.
In Finland, antenna and cable networks require the use of the Antenna HD Ready & Cable HD Ready CI+ CAM.
In Finland, Allente satellite channels require the use of the Allente CI+ CAM. You can buy it from Allente.
Some CAMs support simultaneous decrypting of more than 1 channel. In these products, the number of channels is stated in the product name. Dual descrambling means simultaneous decoding of 2 channels. Using this feature requires to use a DVB receiver or television that supports this feature. You must also turn on the feature in the television or DVB receiver menus.
