Antenna Attenuators

It may be necessary to attenuate the antenna signal mainly if it is amplified too much. An adjustable attenuator is most convenient for home use. It allows you to adjust the attenuation to the perfect level.

Attenuators with fixed attenuation are more suitable for fixed installations e.g. when the current star shaped network (a separate cable to each receiving point from one splitter) where the cables to different receiving points is clearly of different length. In this case, the longer the cables, the lower the attenuation should be.

If you have the reception points in line, you can use suitable attenuator at start with and then continue with through-type antenna sockets and taps where the main line retains stronger signals than the individual outputs.
