Splitters
A Splitter splits the TV signal with equal signal level to all reception points.
A Tap splits the TV signal so that the signal of the main line stays high and the outputs get a lower signal level (which is shown in the name of the product). This is perfect if you have a long line of reception points and you want to get good signal to the last reception point of this line too.
You can also combine splitters and taps in your system.
An Amplifier should be used if you split the TV signal to maintain strong enough signal level.
You also need antenna wall sockets at the reception points.
Sometimes you also need attenuators to lower the signal level in some reception points. You should have about the same level in all reception points. Cable lengths and quality also affect the signal strength and quality.
