The DNA Ethernet and Mesh Router works as an extender of the Mesh network, or alternatively as the primary modem of an Ethernet home. With the help of one or more devices, you get reliable wireless internet covering the entire home. For a small home, it is enough as it is, while for a larger home or one with e.g. stone or brick walls, you can get several of them at once. In this case, thanks to the Mesh feature, placing two or more devices in different parts of the home creates a wireless network that is as comprehensive and reliable as possible. With the DNA Ethernet and Mesh Router, you get a reliable and wireless internet in your home, which thanks to the Mesh feature can be expanded to cover all the spaces of even a large house, or e.g. a house built with thick stone walls. The device works as such as the primary modem of an Ethernet home, or alternatively as an extender of a Mesh network.

One lamp is not enough to light the whole home. In the same way, one terminal device in the home (the modem) is not enough to create a wireless indoor network covering the entire home. In this case, the internal network can be expanded by linking one or more Mesh extensions to the modem.

Thanks to the Mesh feature, you can use DNA Ethernet and Mesh modems to strengthen your home's wireless internet, regardless of the house's network technology. The modem works as the first Mesh point and can be expanded with one or more DNA Ethernet and Mesh WiFi 6 K562 modems. With other modems, we recommend the F-266 extension to ensure compatibility (check the compatibility of different devices in the technical data). With Mukkulos, you need at least two K562 modems to create a separate Mesh WiFi network. You ensure the highest quality Mesh network by connecting Mesh WiFi devices to each other with an Ethernet cable.

How many Mesh plugins are needed? A good rule of thumb is one Mesh extension per residential floor, and depending on the size of the apartment:

one DNA Ethernet and Mesh modem is enough for a home of approx. 70 m², if the signal can pass through the rooms unhindered
We recommend two or three Mesh WiFi units for homes over 70 m², with multiple floors, challenging foundations or wall materials that weaken the internet signal (e.g. stone or brick)

Use will be worry-free in the future as well, as support matters, software updates and data security are handled by DNA.
