Only UHF frequencies are in use for terrestrial TV broadcasts in Finland at the moment.

Excellent quality and technologically most advanced antenna for VHF and UHF frequencies. Suitable for receiving both VHF and UHF broadcasts.

If you plug a 12-24V power supply, you'll turn on the active amplifier. Power supply is situated inside and the power goes to antenna amplifier via the antenna cable. Please check compatible power supplies below.

New and revolutionary BOSStech technology amplifier adjusts the output signal to optimal level. Snow or rain won't give you headache in the future. As long as 31dB amplification is enough. Compatible power supplys beside. You should also buy antenna cable and antenna wall sockets. Stable structure.

A VHF+UHF combination antenna is great when you have both VHF and UHF broadcast stations in about the same direction. Horizontal reception angle of the antenna is 30 degrees. The smaller the angle between and broadcast stations, the better the signal you get from both. Check the direction of VHF and UHF broadcast stations. If the broadcast stations are not in the same direction, you should use separate UHF and VHF antennas and a combiner to combine these signals and to only pick the right frequency range from both antennas.

Please note! You need a CI+ compatible TV or STB and a CI+ Conax CAM to receive pay-tv DVB-T2 HD channels. Only Yle HD can be viewed without a viewing card. Check below for suitable products.
Please note! You need to select any Televés power supply below to get advantage of the built-in amplifier.

Household terrestrial antenna guide

Instructions for TV antenna installation, information about different antenna systems and terminology in finnish offered by Suomen antenni- ja teleurakoitsijaliitto ry:n Pientalon antenniopas.

Antennas

If you want to choose all you need easily please check our Terrestrial antenna sets. Please also check our TV antennas and our Terrestrial antenna recommendations for different circumstances.

You can also find radio antennas, satellite antennas and satellite sets in our webshop.

Amplification

Some antennas have built-in amplifiers. Most Televés antennas have intelligent BOSSTech amplifiers that are adjusted atumatically as the signal level changes. You can also find separate amplifiers and power supplies in our webshop.

Antenna signal distribution

You can find our best quality but low-cost antenna cables with connectors or without connectors and separate connectors and adapters.

You can distribute terrestrial antenna signal from one distribution point to all reception points in even level or you can use a main line and taps to get uneven level outputs in different points of the main line. Or you can combine these.

Splitters are used to distribute even level signal from 1 point to all reception points. This is easy and clear. You need a splitter with enough outputs to all reception points.

Taps might be more useful in some situations like long buildings. Taps must be chosen so that first taps get smaller part of the signal so that the main line signal stays strong enough until the end of the main line.

Reception points must have antenna wall sockets that allow you to get each type of antenna signals (terrestrial, satellite and radio) to TVs, DVB receivers and radios.

Combiners allow you to combine different type of antenna signals to 1 cable outside. Then you only need 1 cable to go to the distribution point inside.

Grounding helps to protect your equipment from lightning damages.

Tools

Terrestrial antenna meters allows you to direct your antenna by giving you the signal level coming from the antenna. More advanced models also tell you the signal quality and more detailed channel specific information. Some models even allow you to view TV on the meter screen.

Cable stripperspliers for installing connectors, installation tools and connecting tools can be found in our tools.

Card readers

If you want to watch pay-tv channels, you also need a separate Antenna HD Ready CI+ CAM for your TV.

DVB receivers

All our terrestrial receivers are compatible with free DVB-T and DVB-T2 TV channels in Finland and in other countries. Some of our terrestrial receivers are also compatible with pay-tv terrestrial channels when a separate  Antenna HD Ready CI+ CAM is used. Some of our terrestrial receivers also support more advanced features like  10-20 TV channel simultaneous recording and can be adjusted to your needs. Please also check our  Best receivers comparison.

Problem situations

Do you have no idea which cable goes to which room? If you have a lot of cables and don't know which one goes where, you can use a tester.

LTE filter might help if 4G or 5G traffic creates problems for TV channels. Problems might be bigger when there is a lot of 4G or 5G traffic (for example evenings in residential areas).
